Hello, I’m back….

OK. The running shoes are fabulous but my knee is jacked up. I ran two more nights and was in mild pain. I’ve kept wearing the shoes and the pain is subsiding now. I think it’s really jacked up. Instead of running with Jenna we walk at the park. It’s fun for her. She gets to chase racoons and other vermin. Haven’t caught anything yet but close a couple of times. Erica and Abby are recovering in time for moms visit. It will be short and sweet this time.

Sunday

2.1 miles, Asics GEL-Cumulus TN431 shoes, sweats, long sleeve shirt, with Jenna, 7:20pm to 7:40pm ,refreshing light mist. Stretched ankles for a few minutes before setting out. Shoes felt good. Ankle is still a bit tender from running with wrong shoes. Light side cramp about half way through. Barely winded when back home. Leg and ankle stretches, 20 crunches to finish off.

Another One Bites the Dust

Not much to report this past week. I did get to golf at a private country club in Burlingame. It was a charity fund raiser for a kids camp devoted to burn victims. Best ball format. We ended up at one under par for eighteen holes. The winning round was nine under par. It’s a pretty tough course and I thought we did pretty well. Next year I’m will try to get a ringer in our group. I bought a Kris Collins autographed Raider football. I started the bidding at $20 and worked it up to $100. I gave it to the guy that paid my entrance fees. He’s a Raider fan also so it worked out pretty well. I get the write-off, he gets the ball.

I bought some running shoes to give Jenna and myself a work out. She pulls really hard on the leash because I’m too slow. I found that I have a high arch and need extra cushioned shoes. I’ve had them on all day to break them in. I’ll probably get two miles in later tonight.

We are heading out for sushi tonight with some friends. Church tomorrow then a Mother’s Day dinner at Kincaids in Burlingame. That is the place we took mom and Gil on their most recent trip.

Happy Mother’s Day to all you moms out there, especially mine…
